I had the privilege of DJing on top of the Sheppard Mullin Pride bus as we made our way down Hollywood Boulevard alongside thousands of LGBTQ+ people, allies, friends, families, and supporters.
From the outside, it probably looks like a DJ shows up, presses play, and has fun for a few hours. The reality is that events like Pride require an incredible amount of planning, coordination, logistics, and teamwork behind the scenes.
As both a DJ and event producer, one of my favorite parts of the day is seeing all of those moving pieces come together successfully. Event organizers, sponsors, production teams, volunteers, transportation providers, and countless others work together to create an experience that feels effortless for attendees.
A moving DJ booth in the middle of Hollywood isn’t exactly a typical setup, which is why reliable equipment matters. Our sound system was powered by QSC speakers—gear I’ve trusted for years at weddings, corporate events, festivals, and community celebrations throughout Southern California.
Pride is a celebration, but it’s also a reminder of what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose. Music has always been about connection, and few events embody that spirit more than Pride.
A huge thank you to Sheppard Mullin for inviting me back for a fourth year and trusting me to help soundtrack such an important celebration.
Happy Pride, Los Angeles.
